Sharon Cronkrite ’65, Maureen McDonnell, OP ’67, Sue (Walsh) Cocoma ’65, Jean (Rosenow) Affeldt ’84, Marlene (Johanning) Kelsey ’65, and Marcy (Cinkay) Bieneman ’65

all gathered in Madison for a lunch & reunion. Some of the friends had not seen each other in over fifty years!

is the co-author of "Triumph on Baker Road: How the Walsh Family Defeated Polio," which was published in May 2016.

was awarded the Sally Sunde Family Advocate Award due to her commitment to social justice.

has been named one of Madison Magazine’s Top Nurse 2016 for her work with underserved populations.

Verona Morgan ' ’84

is one of the founding members of Women In Focus and served as the 2017 "I Have a Dream" Scholarship Ball Chair. This year's ball had a sellout crowd and exceeded fundraising goals which will be awarded as scholarships to deserving students from Dane County.

Jessica (Heiple) Wiederholt ’99

was honored by Ed Perlmutter (D-CO) of the House of Representatives for her recognition by the West Chamber as a 2016 Celebrate Women Honoree. Jess earned this honor for her work with Isagenix, which helps families in Jefferson County, Colorado to lead healthier lives, and find additional income opportunities. This honor is also directed at Jess’ work with improving the health and wellbeing of HIV positive women and children in Africa.

Lana Chute ’02, MBA ’ 05

is the recipient of the Look Back, Give Back GHC Community Champion Award, which recognizes her volunteer efforts with The AIDS Ride and Puppy Up Madison.

has accepted the position of Vice President of Private Wealth Management at First Business Financial Services Inc.

and his wife, Stacey, welcomed Melanie Ashlynn Borre to their family on June 8th, 2016.

and her husband, Mike, welcomed Wesley Mikel Boeve to their family on August 21, 2016. Wesley is also welcomed by his big brother, Lucas, his uncle, Nathan Meyer ’10, and his uncle, Justin Meyer (Edgewood College’s Head Men’s Basketball coach).

Meghan Conley ’07

will celebrate her wedding to Daniel John Swanson II on August 4th, 2017. Meghan is currently a preschool teacher in Port Jervis, New York.

won the Business Development Professional of the Year Award from the Credit Union National Association. Jeremiah was recognized for his innovative business development philosophy, which incorporates culture, partnerships, advocacy, and financial confidence.

has been named one of Madison Magazine’s Top Nurse 2016 for her work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at UnityPoint Health-Meriter.

celebrated their wedding on September 3rd, 2016. Celebrating with the happy couple were Vanessa (True) Ahrens ’13, Meghan (Orr) Biddick ’13, Stephanie (Kreuser) Licht ’13, Luke Wilson ’13, Eric Polacek ’14 and Jake Bechen ’16.

celebrated her wedding to Matthew Moseman on June 26, 2016. Amanda is currently a first grade teacher in the Sauk Prairie School District.

has joined the event planning team at Type A Events in Minnetonka, Minn. as an Event Planning Specialist. Type A Events is an award winning event, décor, and planning agency that specializes in weddings, social/corporate, and non-profit events.

her husband, Justin, and big sister Raegan (who will be two in October) welcomed Cashton Michael Holmgren to their family on April 11th, 2016. 

Amber Hesse

Amber Hesse ’14

celebrated her wedding to Timothy Gustafson on September 24th, 2016. Amber is currently a registered nurse at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wis. 

Dana (Gempeler) Kundert ’14

transitioned from being a staff nurse at the Monroe Clinic in Monroe, Wis., to a Coach (Nurse Manager) in the Family Birth and Women’s Center.

Alexander V. Law

Alexander V. Law ’14

has accepted a position as Program Manager for the Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation (WECC). In his new role, Alex will be directly responsible for the formulation, evolution, development and communication of the strategic vision for WECC’s Energy Finance Solutions (EFS) Programs.

Stephanie Munoz ’14

has been hired as the first Racial Equity Coordinator at Catholic Charities in Madison, Wis., a new position created with the intent to promote equity and inclusion. Additionally to her new role, Stephanie will also chair the newly established Reducing Racial and Ethnic Disparities Committee at Catholic Charities. 

Hannah Wheeler and AJ Fameree

Hannah Wheeler ’14 and AJ Fameree ’13

celebrated their wedding in November, 2015 in Golden, Colorado. They held their reception on August 27th, 2016. Hannah is currently working at UW Green Bay as a Student Services Specialist and AJ currently works at ZimmerBiomet as a Sales Representative. 

Douglas Jensen

was named Rock Valley College’s (Rockford, Ill) seventh president. He will begin his duties as college president starting in October 2016.

Zach Penshorn, MBA ’15

has been promoted from Director to Vice President of Human Resources at M3 Insurance.

and her husband, Michaelwelcomed their son, Charles Raymond Schmelter, into the world on September 23rd, 2016.

began working at the Community Support Network in August as a Supported Employment Specialist.
